Combined Defence Services or CDS examination is like a magic wand for the aspirants who dream of a career as an Officer in Indian Armed Forces. For any graduate who aim to become an Officer in any of the three Services by joining either Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Officers Training Academy or Indian Air Force Academy, the first step is to attend the CDS Exam. CDS Exams, like NDA exam, is conducted twice a year by UPSC and once qualified, the candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. Candidates who emerge successful in the SSB interview and thereafter in the medical test will be directed to join their respective training academies. Upon successful completion of the training, the candidate will be commissioned in the selected wing of the Service as an Officer.
